Farewell, 2012!
What stood out about your year?

Happy New Years Eve, myUMBC!!
I'm at work for a bit today and my browsing the web has brought me back to myUMBC, once again. I want to know from you guys: What is your best memory from 2012? Or did you learn anything really important this year? Any specific goals or resolutions for 2013? I'm curious to know how you guys look at this past year and the upcoming one!
Here's mine: My biggest accomplishment this year was being able to take 20 credits, participate in UMBC Mock Trial, and work 16 hours per week (waaay too busy), but still excel at everything I am doing! I got my first ever 4.0 this semester, won a top attorney award of a hundred or so competing students at a mock trial tournament in Pittsburgh, and well... keep my bosses happy enough to preserve my job!
One thing I always knew but felt I really learned even better during 2012 is the importance of my family. My dad has been my best friend for all of 2012 and I know I can always turn to him, no matter what. I'm happy to say that this year I spent a lot more time with my family than I ever could in previous years.
My number one goal for 2013 is to maintain my 4.0 GPA. After losing my scholarship freshman year, I really want to prove to myself that I can turn things around and end up at a really phenomenal law school, as long as I continue to work my hardest.
So, how about you guys?
Cheers myUMBC, and have a Happy New Year! :)
