C programming over winter break
posted almost 12 years ago
If you were at the CMPE townhall meeting this semester, you may remember the professors teasing us with the possibility of having a "C bootcamp," where we would be able to pick up some C programming skills before entering certain classes. Classes like 421 (OS) or 311 (embedded systems).
At my community college, I provided tutoring for our intro to C class. Over the last semester here at UMBC, I've been working with SI (Supplemental Instruction) for CMSC 202 (see http://www.umbc.edu/lrc/SI_Files/index.html for more info on SI). I thought it might be fun to host something along those lines with C. Some sort of mix of teaching, tutoring, and SI.
Well, I know some C. I'm not, by any means, an expert on the language, but I think I know most of the basics. So, I've been contemplating holding a sort of C tutorial over the winter break.
This is really just to see if there is any interest. So, if you are at all interested, please respond to this post (or email me) to let me know! Or, if you know anyone who might be interested, point them to this discussion!
