The Skid mark on our Tuition Bill
Breaking Down our Athletic Fee.

POLL:HOW MANY UMBC SPORTING EVENTS DO YOU GO TO PER YEAR?
Bring up anything to do with the gym and the first thing that arises is probably the Athletic Fee we must pay. This seems to be a sore point in that almost everyone seems to want to know what the money is being put towards.
The idea that the majority of the money is being used to support our sports teams seems a little odd, given that no sports teams seem to have a cult following... unless you count our undefeated football team or intimidatingly scholastic chess team.
Again just wanted to see what people think about our athletic fee, since that seems to be a common topic on kind of related post. Wanted to keep the other post to focusing on the repair of equipment.
Which brings me to the following discussion points.
1.Do you attend sporting events?
2. If so how often?
3. How would you rate the games attendance?
(1-10: 1 being no one - 10 being standing room only)
4.Would you rather the money be put towards providing better facilities or making games free to get into?
HERE IS A BREAK DOWN OF OTHER SCHOOLS FEES.
