Looking for UMBC people with experiences in online piracy
posted about 12 years ago
I am a student in English 384, Topics in Journalism, with Deborah Rudacille and I am working on a story about online piracy on UMBC's campus and wireless network. I'm looking for students who have experiences with online piracy and are willing to be interviewed. For the purposes of this story I am defining online piracy as downloading or viewing copyrighted material from the Internet without the permission of a copyright holder, including BitTorrent as well as hosting services like the late Megaupload. In particular I am interested in speaking with anyone who has been contacted by the University regarding piracy on UMBC's network. If you are interested in being a source for this story, please contact me via e-mail or check out my news blog for more information.
Thanks in advance!
