The hurricane named Sandy appears to be heading towards us. It already went through Cuba, and it is going through the Bahamas (I think). It looks like Southeast US will take the first dip and by the time the storm reaches us, it will combine with a system over land provided that it continues along the east coast.

I wonder: how will UMBC react to this. Things will get interesting if UMBC decides to stay open WHILE the storm hits. I do remember that UMBC was open when there was open ice out on the roads and sidewalks.
