On Campus ReUsable Cups!
Tired of buying a new cup every time you want a drink? I Am!

Being a commuter I find myself spending a lot of money on the stupid commons soft drink cups. I don't have a meal plan and its annoying to have to buy a new cup every time I want a fountain drink. It was bad enough last year that I would buy one and I would only be able to use if for the day. This year, I buy one and it barely lasts an hour without the fear of the bottom breaking and my drink going everywhere!!
UMBC has taken a step to "go green" and get the biodegradable cups, but honestly these cups SUCK. I think that having cups that last an entire semester would be even more "green" and would save commuters money. Residence could purchase these cups if they wanted as well. They get the same cups every meal plan and just end up having to throw them out. I kinda think thats a waste if you ask me.
UMBC should sell nice plastic cups that last an entire semester. They should have a flat charge for the cups and you can use them as much as you want within that semester. You may have to pay a higher upfront fee but in the end it would save money.
