When you turn your television to any of the cable news channels, what you will be inundated with is the news about the undecided voters and how they will be the ones to decide this election.
It is a tad ironic really to think that people who can not make a decision will, in effect of their indecisiveness, decide the election. Why do we put so much emphasis on these undecided voters when the rest of the voting block is just as important?
Obama has been president for 4 years now and Willard has been running for president for a while. His campaign for 2012 has been running for over a year now. Is it not a bit weird that some people still can not decide on who to vote for? What is it they are waiting to hear that has not already been said over a million times?
John Blumental put it rightly. "Are the Undecideds really unable to make choices in their everyday lives? Do they really dither over minor daily decisions? Probably not. They have these sudden attacks of indecisiveness only during election years because they thrive on all the attention, fifteen minutes of fame because you can't make up your mind. What a scam! Only in America. And if they ever did make a decision, no one would care about them or their non-opinions anymore and they would fade back into obscurity, which is where they belong. An hour after the polls close, a Gallup Poll comes out and is widely reported by the media. The headline reads: "Undecideds Still Undecided.".
