I don't understand. What am I doing wrong?
visual arts, portfolio, how to get better

Okay, get this. I'm a visual arts major, under the graphic design discipline. Well, kind of.
The first time I submitted my visual arts portfolio was maybe two and half years ago. When I picked it up, the jurors thought it sucked. No creativity whatsoever. There were comments written in red ink, suggesting "You should pick another major." Okay, I'll admit it did suck. So then I had to step up my game.
Two years I had to take find ways to improve my skills. I tried practicing paper marbling. Here's what I've been trying to do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay-tD7x6dK8
*just ignore the annoying flute and you'll see what I mean*
Just submitted the portfolio the second time, and there's no avail. No admittance.
If anyone wants to see my work, someone needs to tell me how to put it up on the thread. If that doesn't work, just find a well dressed man with a pair of shades carrying a big, black portfolio case walking around on campus.
I need to know how to wow the judges and finally get in. Thanks.
