UMBC Defense of the Ancients 2
For Pub-Stomps and More
posted about 12 years ago
Hey UMBC, how's it going?
Could've sworn I heard there was a Starcraft 2 team on campus, so I imagine there is a good chance the student body is nerdy enough to know what I am talking about.
For those of you who aren't necessarily into computer gaming, DOTA 2 is an "action RTS" under beta development by Valve. After seeing a reddit post discussing collegiate fan bases, I noticed that a few redditors claimed to be from around these parts.
So I figured I would see if there was any interest in forming some kind of a team/club/steam group/clan/mass orgy/suicide cult/etc/etc. Mostly for pub stomping. But assuming everyone is collectively decent and interested, maybe competitions or what not. Play it by ear.
If you can dig it, hit me up on Steam (~DamnGoodCoffee~). Maybe send me an e-mail. Or possibly write a response in giant flaming letters in Erickson field. If there is enough interest, maybe we can all get a thing going.
I really hope this doesn't devolve into some heated debate over theology. It would be bad. And make me feel bad. So don't.
UPDATE: For those interested, just join the steam group UMBC DOTA. Its public, so open to any random passerby. Get this jazz more organized.
