Informed Voter Thread
Some research on the issues I'm sharing with everyone.

Hi all,
I decided to go look up some of the big issues on the ballot this election and share what I found with everyone, so that we can all check the information and be better informed going into the election.
First off, I looked up the referendum issues on the ballot for Maryland. There are more than these four, but they are the "bigger issues" in the public perspective, so I'm just including the links to them.
1. Gaming Expansion: Question 7
2. Dream Act referendum: Question 4
3. Gay Marriage referendum: Question 6
4. Redistricting referendum: Question 5
For the issues in the Presidential election, here is a handy survey that evaluates how closely you match on the key issues with each of the candidates (including the third-party candidates). It might surprise you, it might not. There are many different ways to answer each question, as well. isidewith.com.
To look at the text of the same-sex marriage and dream act bills, and who voted for and against, the source documents are on file here:
Same sex marriage: HB0438
Dream Act: SB167
I hope this will be helpful to everyone, and we can make educated choices when the election rolls around.
