Can the old CPS Clickers still be used in class?

So I'm returning to UMBC after a 5 year break and my classes use clickers. I noticed everyone has these sleek new white clickers, and I have my old Yellow and blue CPS one circa 2007 (LOL) from my UMBC days of yore. I'm assuming that I cannot still use the old big clunker I purchased back in the day, but I wanted to check before I dropped the cash on a new one.
So - can the old one be registered for use? Yea or Nay?

I blieve you can't because the new clickers are by a new company and their receivers only pick u their clickers.
