While I am at a campus registering my classes, I over heard one young Asian student's comment of a older student in her native language. obiously she did not know that I understood the language. her comment was "why is this old, grandma came here at UMBC? is she not too old to come here? even though the comment was not directed at me, I felt insulted and ashamed, because I am too, also returning student from many years spent raising my children, and had a succesful career only to return to school so that I could fulfil my dream of being an a social worker. I hope to meet much more matual students in the future,
