What are your experiences with Reslife?

I am just wondering what you guys thought about your experience with Reslife. I personally had it with on-campus life purely due to its cost/added expenses/penalties, and the way they treat their students on the whole. I have now lived off campus for 4 months and can say that my landlord treats me better. I also can't believe the stories I hear of disciplinary actions imposed on first-time offenders of the rules. I know we all signed up for it, but hey I signed up to follow speed limits when i got my license. Guess what, almost everyone speeds at one time or another.
But that's just my thoughts, I would love to see how the community feels.
SO please pick as many statements that apply to you (without making contradictory combinations) and comment on your experiences.
If you are reading this before the poll: please try not to exaggerate...And keep in mind that most college campuses do not have the actual quality of rooms that we have in Harbor or Walker
BUT also keep in mind any grievances you may have had that you believe should not have been a problem.
For example- it is common knowlegde the apartments that Terrace and Westhill aren't in the greatest condition, BUT no one should have to live in a place that has a mold problem.
or
It is understandable that damage done to a room should be charged to the student, BUT Reslife does not need to charge a hard-working, financially burdened student a ridiculous price for a minor/easily-resolved problem with a room's condition
My opinion is that Reslife is supposed to provide a community for the EXCEPTIONAL STUDENTS that attend UMBC, not a property-renting organization looking to squeeze every dime out of us. I accidentally switched a common room chair with a bedroom chair and got charged something around 50 dollars. Both chairs were in the apartment, and it would have taken the next RA about 15 seconds to switch them back. That's the kind of crap i would expect out of a shady motel, not the organization with which my parents trusted their son and money. I couldn't believe it.
