So I am tired of the whole anti-smoking movement.
Nanny state thinks we can't take care of ourselves.

Just like the prohibition of alcohol and trans-fats, I find the idea that "tobacco-smoking should be over-regulated or banned" to be counterproductive and impractical. All it does is harm our industries and in this recession, that is one of the worst things we can do.
Now, big-government types will stress that we need to do this "for the greater good" to "prevent cancer". There is no guarantee that smoking tobacco will give you cancer. There is an increased rate of getting cancer, but there is no guarantee that smokers will fall under this illness, just as there is no guarantee that alcohol will give you cirrhosis.
Tell me, who would you trust to drive, to keep a secret, to represent you in court? A smoker or a drinker? I can tell you that public places prefer the latter, and we need to reassert who's really more trustworthy.
So do what I do and stick it to the man by sticking one in your mouth. Don't forget to buy American with a pack of Newport Menthols. Cool ain't Cold. Newport is.
