Do you hold on to your text books?
Do you prefer reference guides or disposable income?

Except in the rare case that I take a class that I absolutely can't stand and never want to be reminded of, I always hold on to my books. Needless to say I could certainly use the extra money at the end of the semester, but I find it very difficult to end my relationship with something I devoted so much time to, for better or for worse. I'm in many relationships; and they're complicated.
I was curious if anyone feels the same way about their books. I know most of you sell your books back to the store at the end of the semester, for which I am very grateful--particularly those of you who don't highlight.
