YES, you can make money on you tube. But the process isn't as dreamy as one would like to think. I have attached the link that details how you make money using you-tube. 

Over the past month , I have engaged in various conversations/banter here and have a rough idea of the creative people who would make a good team to produce youtube videos. However, I am NOT going to call them out because desire to see this through has to be personal and one has to be motivated to go all the way.

Conservatively speaking it would require us to spend 10-15 hours/week to produce, edit and upload creative "catchy" videos with potential to make at least 10,000 views. I have couple of ideas but will share them with someone serious about it.

I am serious about doing this. Email: arun5@umbc.edu .I am looking for another 2 individuals to form a team, preferably someone who is good with video editing , photography and shooting and is creative.

Realistically, we won't see millions of views or make thousands of dollars right of the bat but my goal is to make $3000 /year of our views. We split whatever profits we earn evenly 3 ways. Of , course we want to earn as much as phillip de franco but if we make youtube salary like his is on luck and creativity.

Even if the goal seems easy to obtain rest assured it is not as millions of stuff gets uploaded everyday on youtube and majority makes NO MONEY. If by August 2013 we achieve our goal or cross it , I will consider it a success. 

It's great to put on your resume/great experience if you are a creative arts major but I want to make it successful so that we can make some part time money. With luck , creativity, and good analysis to improve our videos I think we can achieve our goal.

I am a graduate student but am fairly disciplined enough to be able to put aside 10hrs+ over weekends for this project. This is unpaid (untill youtube generates cash for us) so PERSISTENCE, PATIENCE and CREATIVITY as well as SELF-ANALYSIS will be crucial.

Luck makes millionaires of paupers but I like to prepare myself well before courting lady luck. So , I want the group to  function professionally while having fun producing the videos. 

Summer is a great time to meet-up / form a group and start the team. Be realistic of your time commitments. If you are taking senior level classes with 15 credit hrs, you probably will NOT have time in fall semester to contribute to the group. Having , said all above I would like interested parties to email me .

Things we will need :

1. Green screen to put in animations later on . (can be bought cheaply with home supplies)

2.Good camera/video camera that records 1080p.

3.good microphone system (I can make one under 50 bucks)

4. Optional soundtrack/sound bits to go with animations 

Library has softwares we can use for video editing.
