I'm studying Korean and learned about topic and subject particles 8 months ago. And I never understood which particle to place where. Not until now do I realize that the reason I have never understood is because I don't know the difference between a topic and a subject even in English.
So I looked for some English grammar webpages and I couldn't find much at all. It seems in English, they're usually the same thing.
There was only one website I found that gave me a vague idea of the difference. But I'm still confused as most of the info on the "subject" page gave tips that I can't really use with Korean syntax. (Topic & Subject, if you want to take a look.)
Is this separate subject and topic just a feature present in Korean but not in English?
Please help. u_u
