Parking is worst then before

Frankly, parking is worst then it was last semester. Umbc removed areas for parking. They also put in designated areas to park. They did not take into account that Umbc is a largely commuter student school and there are much less residential students by comparison.
As I drove around the circle today at Umbc, I saw plentiful spots to park, but those were for only residential students. There was almost 0 spots around the entire circle for commuter students. I have never seen a line outside of Umbc, all the way from i-195 to just get into the campus.
Umbc needs to add another lot, not another building for parking. More classes and rooms aren't important if it can't encompass the students.
Students should not have to arrive over an hour early to their classes just to find parking. An example is the fact that I live 20 minutes from Umbc. I live in Ellicott city. I drove at 9:20 a.m. to Umbc and my class was at 10:00 a.m.. I got there at 9:38 a.m. and couldn't get into Umbc till 9:55 a.m.. I didn't find parking till 10:30 a.m. I was late to my class by 30 minutes. I found this to be ridiculous.
Did any of you other students have thoughts about this or problems this morning?
