Which is your favorite post-war decade?

Give some info as to why. For example, I like the 1970s because of Ralph Bakshi, the Michael Zager Band, Blue Oyster Cult, Three's Company and the Sugarhill gang. Though politics are acceptable, this is primarily a culture thread, so don't let it derail into arguments about the presidents or wars.
