Procedure for Applying
I was on the phone to great lengths yesterday with a person from Residential Life who seemed to not know as much and puts you on hold for 5 minutes, for every other minute you want to know about something you didn't find on the Res. Life website.
I read through the whole Residential Life website. There's a ton of info there. I can already tell though that the first step in applying is to fill out the housing application that asks you some questions on what you'd prefer your roommate to be like (even though I'm trying to get a single) and your meal plan.
So, I filled out and submitted this first application. What's next (besides signing the housing license)? Is there a part 2 / 3 / 4 to this? Where is the part where I mention that I'm looking for a single dorm, and is there a fee just to get on the waitlist (I think I read there's a fee to EARN YOUR SPOT but I believe that's when you're offerred a dorm, not necessarily just to get waitlisted).
By the way, I've been saying "dorm" this whole time but yesterday I was told that "dorm" refers to the entire building. It's a "suite" the students live in, and those are the single, double, triple units.
I'm not intersted in apartments.
Thanks people.
