Current UMBC students/UMBC Alumni Opinion
posted almost 14 years ago
As a part of my project for my Civic Imagination course , I want to hear feedback from current UMBC students and /or UMBC Alumni.
What is your opinion about an undergraduate certification in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security and Technology Policy at UMBC? This program will be a 25-28 credit program that will combine courses from disciplines such as Sociology, Political Science, Statistics and Information Systems.
Overview:
This certificate will provide students a basic understanding of the nature of crime and criminal justice, develop students the knowledge in international and domestic terrorism. Students will be able to apply technology and methodology into the discipline of Criminal Justice. This certificate will enhance graduate's employment in criminal justice and homeland security fields and prepare them for graduate program in fields such as law enforcement, criminology and homeland security.
Please share your class standing and major/minor/concentration as well.
Any other comments/ideas/questions?
Thank you all!
Feel free to email me at : aaslam1@umbc.edu
