Germany, You're Doing It Right

So I ran into this pretty cool article about how Germany is now currently where the U.S. used to be in 1975: manufacturing accounting for 20% of the GDP; budget deficit being just 1% of the economy; and families saving 10% of their take-home incomes.
Due to the government's good management of the country, Germany's jobless rate dropped to a two-decade low of 6.8% last month!!
I wish that the Republican candidates, and the political establishment in general, would talk about this more often, rather than drumming up support for another war.
What do you guys think?
