Rick Perry for President?

Rick Perry posted a controversial video stating his views on gays enlisting in the Armed Forces and religion's place in the schools.
He states his discontent in the fact that it is alright for those who are openly gay to serve in the Armed Forces, yet his children cannot celebrate Christmas in school? He states that he wants to "end Obama's war on religion." However, here at UMBC, and every school I have attended personally, most religious holidays around Christmas time were celebrated including Chanukah and Kwanzaa.
Am I the only one who does not understand this man's lack of understanding for the concept of the Separation of Church and State?
His ignorance is apalling, and if this man becomes the President of the United States, I'll be the first one with my bags packed and a flight ticket to Canada.
