Bike Shelters On Top Of Bike Racks Anyone?
Isn't it annoying to get out of class only to find your bike soaken wet. What do you guy think of putting bike shelters over top the bike racks.
The shelters can be for more than just keeping the bikes dry.
1 - They could be an incentive to ride a bike which would make the campus more "Green."
2 - They could hold a camera to watch over the bikes. What I mean is that someone would be less likely to steal a bike when being watched.
3 - Tire Pumps could be installed in the shetlers.
I know UMBC isn't highly traveled by bikes but don't you think that if they did put bike shelters in that more students would be inclined to bike. What about the students that live like around 5 miles from campus. They may bike instead of drive.
