In my brief time as a poster here on myUMBC, I have had several long, lively debates with a certain Erik Walker. I know that many of you do not like much of what he says for one reason or another, so I realize the following may not be very popular, but I feel I should say it anyway. Personally, I'm rather grateful to Mr. Walker. No, I don't agree with everything he says. But because he questions, picks apart, and examines from every angle almost everything I say, it has made me question, pick apart, and examine from every angle everything I believe. Because I don't live my life by a book, I think it is good that I look at what I think once in a while and ask myself, "Why do I think that?" I have been doing this a lot lately in my discourses with Erik, and have come away feeling stronger and more secure about my beliefs because now I know the "why" behind them. Thanks, Erik!
