SOPA and PROTECT-IP
The internet as we know it is in very real danger.

Take a look here: http://americancensorship.org/
The prospect of the SOPA and PROTECT-IP bills being potentially able to pass is truly worrying; the internet would be a wreck in terms of its content, not to mention that the very coding and structure of it (and by extension its security) is at risk. Constitution-given freedoms would be infringed upon, not the least of which being freedom of speech. Businesses and political movements worldwide would face a great deal of trouble working around censors and blocks, if they remain on their feet at all. Perhaps most importantly, it would put even more power in the hands of corporations -- corporations that are already overpowered and taking advantage of the system.
Thoughts?
