60 Minutes' coverage overshadows UMBC's other majors/schools
Hrabowski's concern for Science seem to be his only concern?

Isn't it unfair that almost all of the coverage and recognition that UMBC receives from outside sources is about our emphasis on math, science and engineering. It's true that we have a larger portions of students graduating from these fields than most schools do but we shouldn't be a university based solely around these majors. The majority of students at UMBC are in fact some other major. Many of our other school's in social sciences, arts and humanities receive little to no credit and recognition from outside media and dare I say our school president and administration. Aren't we too often disregarded? Even to the extent of being treated like second class students. Plenty of our other departments and their divisions are highly rated such as the Center for Aging Studies, which is associated with Anthropology and Sociology. If you are a non-math/science/engineering student and feel that our emphasis some fields overshadows others please share.
