Before the truth gets out of hand (pun intended), let's get it under control of the unbiased student population. I think people should reply to this thread so that its reply capability does not fall victim to Erik's manipulation.

Many liberals are pro-abortion; many liberals are also pro-stem-cell-research, and many liberals are pro-the-idea-of-the-existence-of-a-"gay gene".
Question: if homosexuality is genetic, wouldn't that mean that it is something that could be genetically modified, i.e. "corrected," if the parents desire a straight baby? After all, whatever happens to the child is the mother's choice, isn't it?
Further question: what if people who don't want a gay baby but can't afford the genetic treatment choose to abort it based on genetic testing that determines that the child will be homosexual?
As a liberal or gay person, would you support the abortion of gay fetuses for any and all reasons?
To me, as a Biblical Christian, the prevalence of pro-choice gay people is very perplexing, particularly given the knowledge that many of them believe that homosexuality is caused by the child's genetics or the mother's hormones. Medical technology will soon allow genetic predispositions to be overcome, and hormonal (im)-balances can already be changed with pills. Why should designer babies be any different?
It does not seem logical to me that homosexuals would be in support of programs that could very likely lead to the mass murder of "potential homosexuals" in the womb. But then, perhaps you are truly consistent in your beliefs and you don't think this is murder, so maybe it doesn't bother you.

On the issue, I think it's ironic that a "Biblical Christian" would be okay with any kind of genetic modification since that is manipulation of God's creation as He intended.
