Homecoming week - Free Parking
Homecoming week parking

I fully understand that university operations continue throughout Homecoming week, but in the spirit of what this week stands for, does it not make sense that for this once-a-year week, that the university would suspend parking fees? This would be a welcoming gesture to lure current students and alumni back to campus.
There are times when you want to visit the campus, but worrying about feeding meters deters you.
Not trying to inconvenience those who are taking classes that week, as I know they should be the primary concern - but this is the one week in the year that we are all supposed to take part in the community and suspending fees would go a long way to spurring attendance.
