"Reality Check" and "Students for Truth": Toponymy or Deceit
Objective view on myUMBC naming conventions
As most of you may know, the two "student" organizations "Reality Check" and "Students for Truth" post quite often on the myUMBC Discussion boards. However, a quick glance informs you that the two organizations are locked and not available to join. In fact, the only activity that occurs at all are discussion/news threads, all of which are started by Tyler Jennings (the former's sole member) and Erik Walker, respectively.
My question is, were these groups conceived truly to provide a student forum or simply as a platform for the aforementioned individuals' political/religious beliefs? Did they start using these monikers because they felt it would deceive others to listen? Did they feel that their own names had brought them too much criticism, and that they had to essentially hide behind the "group" veil in order to appear credible? Both names are essentially propaganda in themselves.

Erik has already displayed his willingness to impersonate others and establish other pseudonyms to repeat his opinions in the comments of the linked blog.
My intentions are not to attack the character of either individual, simply to report factual statements. As such, please respond in a respectful manner. Do you feel that the two groups mentioned are actual organizations, and do you think that there is merit in the given names? I'm curious on the myUMBC community's opinion on the two groups, rather than the opinions they present.
