Legalization Pot Petition.

I, as an American, believe it is my duty and right to question government and try and garner support for topic of interest to me. I do believe Cannabis Sativa, also know as "Marijuana" , should be legalized, taxed, and regulated. Any sentiments opposed to this idea are easily debunked (with facts and common sense). On the White house website there is an online petition asking for a "perfectly legitimate" discussion on the legalization of said plant. Currently there are about 44,000 signatures. Imagine what would happen if there were 100k, 200k, even 300k. This is a problem in our society that is not going to be fixed by prohibition. If you're against legalization, you're welcome to state your opinion or what have you, but in all seriousness, it just seems a little messed up to outlaw something that is grown, dried, then consumed.
not grown, dried, processed, mixed, compressed, then consumed.
anywho, the petition is linked below, i encourage anyone who is like interested and would like to see an actual discourse on this subject to sign and show it to anyone else who might be interested.
