Linked is the most beautiful Q&A I've read in a long while, and reaffirms my belief that Christianity can bring liberty to people rather than the often-reported values of hating and limiting minorities/slaves/gays. I'd like to bring it to the attention of the myUMBC community for discussion.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am neither Christian or homosexual. I have identified myself as an Apatheist, generally disagree with the idea organized religion, and I am madly in love with my girlfriend. However, I have read the Old & New Testaments and am very interested in theology and its societal consequences. I am also very invested in the idea of making the Pledge of Allegiance true and providing "liberty and justice for all".
Now, what do you all think of the posted article? I will not be naive and request no negative criticism; all I ask is that you hold your posts to the same standard of respect that others do. There are certain individuals whom always get involved with threads like these, and all I ask is for you to read the article and post feedback without jumping to a random conclusion.
