Sexual Assault on Campus
posted about 13 years ago
I received an e-mail about a sexual assault that occurred on the campus. The e-mail gave advice to resident students about how to protect themselves from this type of assault. As the season changes and it gets darker earlier, commuters who have to park on the outskirts of the campus become more vulnerable to predators. And yet, I have never (in the last year) seen a University patrol car in the outlying parking lots or the walkways that lead to commuter lots. Does anyone else think that the University should be considering the safety of commuters in the same way as they consider the resident's safety?
