Being a foreigner in US!
Racism, foreigner, middle east, discrimination
A little more than 2 years ago, I came to US from the heart of Middle East. There was a period that I like to call : "The Honeymoon" which everything was colorful and beautiful. Then there was a period which was the crisis and hardship and reality slapped me hard in the face. in the 846th day of mine in US, I thought very serious about how being a foreigner in US is, and honestly, my conclusion was shame on me! Of course, there is racism, there are hard days, being different, stereotypes, and prejudgments, but then I must say I found out how greatful I am from this country and its wonderful people. Honestly, I don't know why I'm writing this right now, It's my way of saying: "Thank you so much" to all the wonderful people of this country who made it possible for me and lots of others like me to be who we are, and feel how we feel. Even thought we nag sometimes and say things, but deep down we are very grateful and love you and this country a lot! <3
