UMBC Community!
Hurricane Irene rocked the hell out of a lot of people, as many of you may have experienced yourselves with the extended power outages and what not.  Back home where I live in Northern NJ, the scene is heartbreaking.  People experienced flooding that reached the second floor of their homes and are loosing everything.  Insurance compensation is barely sufficient and will not help them recoup the necessities of life.  Many families, with young children, are in desperate need of school supplies, cloths, furniture, etc.  I am making plans on going home to help with the clean up and am asking any of you who may have some spare items laying around the house to consider donating them so I can bring them up with me. It would mean so much to those that you help. 
For now, I can only transport smaller items BUT if you do have larger pieces, please still shoot me an email.  I may try to make arrangements with a friend or two who has a pickup truck to try to bring those items up as well.
