I have only used Amazon to get books while at UMBC.  I always find I can shave 25-75% of textbook costs this way, and selling them back usually gets most of my money back.  This semester though, I had one class where the book was only available in the bookstore to my knowledge.  $286 and change was the cost of ONE book.  That's usually close to what I spent on all books for a semester.  Congratulations UMBC.  Another one of my paychecks is yours.
