Hey y'all, I'm wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone, or if any of you have had the experience. 

     I've been number one on the wait list for calc since I signed up a month ago plus.  Twice now, I've logged in to check the numbers on the course, and seen some openings appear that should have ensured my enrollment.  That was how it happened with my other waitlisted class, right before I got in.  But in this case the places fill back up, a week goes by, and I'm still waiting patiently, number one on the list.  I've written my prof and all, and I have hope that I'll still get in (and not lose ft status AND a semester of progress) but I'm mostly baffled by the registrars office insisting that they have no idea what I'm talking about.  It's not the kind of error computers really make, handing out just plain wrong numbers, thats more of a human thing, but i don't think it's impossible. 

Anyway, does anyone else have any knowledge of this, or even an educated theory?
