This morning, on my way to the commons, I saw a man and his border collie chasing the geese from the lawn.  Then they got into a black SUV with this printed on the side: "Geese Police- Call us to get the flock out!" 

I'm assuming that nothing cruel or unusual is happening to these geese, but is UMBC trying to get rid of them, and if so, why?

I love the geese here!  I know it made my morning more than once to see those cute baby geese by Library Pond last year! 

Are the geese hurting anyone? Why would UMBC want to get rid of them?
