Blackboard
When are classes available on Blackboard?

I was just wondering, I heard somewhere that most teachers put Blackboard up about two weeks before classes start? Is there anything that we as students have to do in order for our classes to be put up. Sorry if it seems like a dumb question, but I'm a transfer so I'm not sure how it works.
