I just wanted to pass along a message of gratitude to the UMBC community at the request of a gentleman by the name of Ladi who truly appreciated all who came out on Friday 5/1 from UMBC to help clean up his mother's pharmacy on Reistertown Rd. which was negatively affected by the chaos earlier this week. 

At the end of yesterday's teach-in for the "UMBC Discussion on Complex Challenges Facing Baltimore Communities" by Dr. Hrabowski and faculty panelists, there was an announcement made that Ladi and his mother needed help to clean up her pharmacy that same day from 3-8pm. When I spoke with Ladi around 5:30pm that evening, he informed me that the cleanup was already finished and that he and his mother were very grateful for the support from those affiliated with our campus. 

Let's keep up the positive momentum and continue to show through our actions that UMBC supports the Baltimore communities! No matter how big or small the effort, we can continue to make a difference!
