"Don't worry, I took my injection this month"
Sounds odd, doesn't it? Give it a few years.
Coming off of a fun (not really) discussion about abortions, sex, and birth control, I thought it might be a good idea to pull out the old newspaper and share with you something relevant. Let's see here... oh, yeah, here we go!

For those of you who don't like reading, I'll sum it up. Historically, females have been given all the cards in terms of birth control. Males have two choices on their end, a vasectomy or a condom. Not really much else, except maybe the F-Ray from Futurama. (http://futurama.wikia.com/wiki/F-Ray)
Well, that might all change soon. Researchers throughout the world are delving into hormones, polymers, and other methods for temporarily stopping sperm production. The research is in it's infancy... actually, more like a childhood now... some such procedures are already used for medical reasons (but they affect libido and performance, and are thus rather unpopular)
Apparently half of all men would say yes to such a contraceptive, as long as it doesn't affect libido or performance. But that's not the most important point raised by the article...
That is... how many of you would actually trust a guy at a bar who says "Don't worry babe, I've had the injection." After all, he's not the one who'd get pregnant.
It raises a question about society in general... are men really that untrustworthy? I mean, myself, I'd just say nobody have sex until they're married, and when they're married and don't want kids, use condoms... but that's just my silly archaic biblical view. After all, it seems these days, people think that denying somebody sex is like denying them food or water, but I digress...
Would you trust that guy?
