Movie Screening of "Half the Sky"

Hey everybody!
The Global Studies Council of Majors is hosting a movie night this Thursday, April 2 in Public Policy 105 at 7pm. The movie being shown is "Half the Sky", a documentary that follows celebrity activists and journalists as they examine the lives of women in the most difficult circumstances in the world, and the women among them who are fighting to make a change. Part one examines women in Sierra Leone, Cambodia, and Vietnam, and the sustainable solutions that are being implemented to empower women and turn oppression into opportunity.
Following the screening there will be a lively discussion. All students from all majors are welcome to attend! Refreshments will be provided.
