Israeli Elections and the Middle East
Has this election changed anything?

So if anyone has been following the news there has been a parliamentary election in Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu's center-right Likkud party was pitted against the center-left Zionist Union led by Isaac Herzog. It was expected that the Zionist Union would win, but surprisingly the Likkud managed to pull an upset. This essentially guarantees Netanyahu another term as Prime Minister. Over the election cycle Netanyahu has moved farther right in-order to ensure victory. He will probably end up forming a coalition with far-right parties in the Knesset. In recent speeches Netanyahu has come out against the possibility of a two-state solution. There are also increasing tensions between American and Israel over a possible Iran deal. So what does Netanyahu's victory mean for the Middle-East? What does it mean for the upcoming US election cycle?
