Mad? Irritated? Just Wanna Talk About it? Good.

Hey you guys!
UMBC For Ferguson is in the process of expanding our coalition. We want to change the culture of apathy and energy.
We are a group of people that stand for not just the city of Ferguson, but the cities of Baltimore, Cleveland, New York, and Decatur. We believe that Ferguson isn't isolated. Its not about one incident, its about a collection of moments that have made us realize that the risk to stay the same is much greater than the risk of change. Its about realizing that Black lives actually MATTER, and that melanin is neither a reason nor excuse to deny basic human rights.
Currently, we're looking to get representatives from different social justice organizations on campus to blog for us, help with events like our Forum and with the Black Power Mixtape, and to help reach out to other community action groups in Baltimore, and things like that.
If you're not interested in getting involved, are slightly freaked out, or think we're absolutely crazy, feel free to drop a respectful comment. For better or worse, its important that we have intelligent conversations.
Drop a comment and let us know if/how you want to help! Or, just drop a comment on how you feel about racialized police brutality. Lets start talking, and keep working.
