Sick of these pervasive meter maids

Once again, another $40 dollar ticket. My car is registered, I was in "A" parking zone, and my red permit lay fallen to the floor or my car. I stand by my car, frustrated and angry, looking out among the sea of yellow slips. "Are you kidding me" is all I can muster up. I'm sick of the aggression by UMBC parking officers, and I utterly hate the fact that UMBC does not care. Under their Student Judicial Program website UMBC states:
“My hangtag was on the floor, dashboard, car seat, etc.”
- Hangtags must be displayed on rearview mirror
Which just shows they have zero tolerance for simple mistakes. I guess they figure why budge on their precious cash cow. I have to pay this, since UMBC gives out Maryland issued tickets, which can freeze the registration on my vehicle if I don't pay it.
