Fed up with service
Apparently the customer is always wrong

Am I the only one who is tired of the attitudes of the food services staff at UMBC? I recently went to Mesquite Grill, and after waiting about fifteen minutes for my burger to cook, and seeing other people who had ordered after me get their food, I began to grow anxious. I asked the cook if my burger was going to be ready soon and told her how long I'd been waiting and was told to "calm down". She continued to speak impolitely to me, and after it was ready, she threw my fries in the boat along with the burger and handed it to me saying "here". This isn't the first time I've had bad experiences with the food service staff here. In the cafeteria style lines at true grits, I am often greeted with something along the lines of "What you want?" or even just "What?" I work in customer service and always treat my customers with respect. What ever happened to the customer is always right? Many staff members here are not welcoming at all, and just have plain bad manners.
