I will be living in the on-campus apartments (likely Walker, maybe West Hill). I made a list of things but want to make sure I'm not missing anything, so I thought I'd ask some people who have already been through the moving-in process. Here's my list (as I can currently remember it): - pots & pans, plates & bowls, utensils (for eating and cooking), cups, potholders & ovenmitt - bedding - mattress pad - cook-in-microwave thingies (like, microwavable rice cooker, veggie steamer, etc.) I'm not sure yet if I will have a roommate. But in the case that I do, for certain things that may be expensive and/or shared, I was planning on waiting to buy with my roommate: - couch slip-cover - lamp - bathroom decor and (OR seeing if she already has and is willing to share): - microwave - lamp - TV(?) I already have cleaning supplies and tools, towels & washcloths. So, what am I missing? Is there anything I listed that I likely won't need? Is there anything you didn't expect to need, but realized you did after you moved into your new home?
