So what do we really make of this? Was there any justification of any sort for the cancellation? Are North Korean hackers (or whoever was behind this) really that big of a threat?
My take? Seriously, the fact that they threaten our private enterprises and can bring us to our knees is a failure on our part. If we all had a basic computer literacy AND a basic understanding of cybersecurity we may not have gotten into this mess.

Now (if the media is to be believed), North Korea has gone from launching <s>hilarious</s> failed ballistic missile tests to having hackers that apparently make Anonymous look like noobs. I in part blame North Korea but I blame us too. This is what happens when you cut corners and don't invest in making sure your stuff isn't easily attacked by malicious parties. Hopefully this will prompt changes, not so much in the government sector but in the private sector too. Hopefully now they will see that it is worth spending money to protect themselves from a previously no account dictatorship. Seriously, this is just embarrassing and it was on display on the international stage.
