And then...I heard the third flush
UMBC! We can conserve more.

The new PAHB building is beautifully designed and LEED certified, but comes with the startling, water-wasting automatic toilets. The other day, the automatic sounds of watery fury burst forth from my stall not twice but three times. I was so crushed knowing water was wasted with each unnecessary flush and I could do nothing about it.
Can their settings be adjusted so this is not so frequent?
Another things that never makes sense! Why, why, WHY do offices and classrooms cool down to temperatures as low as 65 degrees when it is 65-70 degrees outside (aka no need for A/C). The A/C is still on in certain parts of the campus and winter is fast approaching. I am freezing in lecture halls and my office where changing the thermostat unfortunately has no effect on the ambient temperature.
Our campus can do better! Paw if you think we can take our sustainability efforts further and conserve even more!
