Spacious Room in 2 bed/2 bath apartment
posted about 10 years ago
The room:
- $827/month rent
- Utilities are included except for electricity, which generally runs around $40 per month. Split between two people, that’s usually around $20/month.
- private bathroom
The room has plenty of space. I comfortably fit a queen bed, desk, bookshelves, filing cabinet, and dresser. The bathroom has it’s own closet, so there is plenty of storage space. Since it’s a corner apartment we have lots of large windows, plenty of natural light and large windowsills. It would be great for someone who likes growing plants.
The building:
The location is fantastic, and close to everything. Mt. Vernon, Fells Point, the Inner Harbor, and Federal Hill are all easily accessible. The apartment is also convenient to every kind of public transit, including the light rail, numerous bus lines, the circulator, MARC, and the metro. My roommate and I have both lived here easily without cars.
This is definitely the most well-managed apartment building I have ever lived in. Everything gets fixed quickly and without fuss. There is someone at the front desk 24/7, so there’s always someone to help if you need it and the building is very secure. There’s also a patio area with a grill and seating. The building supplies both the gas for the grill and the utensils, so that’s really nice when the weather is good.
The roommate:
My roommate is 31, clean, and low-key. She really likes food and cooking, so there’s usually something tasty happening in the kitchen. She plans to move in the next few months, so you would have the opportunity to bring in anyone you like. Also, a lot of the furniture and other supplies have been handed down with the apartment and will stay when she moves, so you won’t be completely unsettled.
